The Walking Stick Man: Singer, Guitarist, Harmonica, Bass & Doublebass player; cigar box luthier, as well as compositor and founder of the musical entertainment company "Blues Business", has recently been honoured with the award of the best Bluesman in Catalunya "ARTISTA BLUESCAT 2010"....

Jordi Llaurens Ynesta (W.S.M) was born on the 8th of October in 1972, in Gracia, Barcelona.
He’s played the harmonica since he was nine, the guitar since he was sixteen, and started his professional career as a bass player at the age of 19.

Up until today he has shared his blues with musicians and bands such as:

He has taught many Blues harmonica masterclasses in various Festivals... He is also the artistic director for Vic Blues Festival in Osona, Spain.

He has also performed in various television programmes: La Cosa Nostra (TV3), Agora (canal 33), (City TV), (TV Premia), (Canal Nou in Vic) and has recorded a video clip, playing the double bass for Dan Electro.

Co-founder of "Blues Business" a young international company, dedicated to the Blues…owned and directed by Pat Harrison (photographer) and The Walking Stick Man (musician).

In this last album you can recognise his influences: Lightnin’ Hopkins, Sonny Boy Williamson, T.Bone Walker, Willie Dixon, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, to name a few.

"CARAVAN BLUES" was recorded after a seven month road trip in his motor home, searching for the blues in Europe. He was able to reunite Lluis Coloma on the piano, Little Jordi on the harmonicas, Marc Ruiz on the drums, and Balta Bordoy as the guest guitarist, to record in a studio in England (which happened to belong to the conductor of the Henry Mancini Orchestra) in November 2005.

"UNDERCOVER BLUES" is The Walking Stick Mans latest recording in the form of a double cd. Part 1 was recorded at Rosaazul Studios with the band and Part II is a live recording of The Walking Stick Man alone at The Honky Tonk Blues Bar in Barcelona 2008.

The Walking Stick Man keeps on route, sharing his blues with us. At the moment he is preparing his next recording...aswell as working with the "Blues Bus" project.
